The following accrediting organizations are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) CCNE is an autonomous accrediting agency, contributing to the improvement of the public’s health. The commission ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate, graduate, and residency programs in nursing. 2013 2017
Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) LCME accreditation is a voluntary, peer-reviewed process of quality assurance that determines whether the medical education program meets established standards. 2008 2017
The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) SACSCOC is the regional body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in the Southern states. 2015* 2018

*Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) is accredited by SACSCOC. TTUHSCEP is a part of TTUHSC and is currently seeking separate accreditation by SACSCOC.
