Program Length

In accordance with requirements of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), TTUHSC El Paso adheres to the following specific guidelines for program length:

  • First baccalaureate degree programs require a minimum of 120 semester credit hours.
  • Graduate degree programs require a minimum of 30 semester credit hours of graduate-level coursework.
  • Graduate-level and professional certificates must not exceed 29 semester credit hours. These guidelines apply to educational programs delivered both traditionally and via distance education.

The table below lists the minimum semester credit hours required for each certificate and degree program currently offered at TTUHSC El Paso.
