Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

TTUHSC El Paso's main objectives and drivers of transitioning from paper to an EMR system were to improve patient care and safety, physician access to information, physician satisfaction, workflow efficiency, and communication by making records available to multiple people simultaneously. Centricity EMR will be implemented in all TTUHSC El Paso departments and facilities across the El Paso area.

Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)

TTUHSC El Paso recognizes the benefits of centralizing electronic PHI to improve care, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. An assessment was conducted in all TTUHSC El Paso clinics to evaluate their existing modalities and storage needs. Based upon the results, the Clinical Leadership Team decided to support the implementation of a solution that will serve as a central image repository and that will best serve TTUHSC El Paso's needs and requirements. IW PACS will be implemented in all TTUHSC El Paso clinics and will be integrated with the EMR System.
