Updating Patient’s Pharmacy

If a patient decides to change pharmacies within EMR you will need to update the patient’s pharmacy selection from the refills form as EMR does not consider the Medications module pharmacy choice permanent.

Change Pharmacy Selection
  • Open patient’s office visit document.

  • Click the Refills button. Image01.

  • Click Select…Image02.

  • Type the name of the pharmacy on the Search field.

  • Click SearchImage03.

  • Click on the Add this pharmacy to the patient’s contact list checkbox.

  • Click OKImage04.

  • Click Close.


Delete Previous Pharmacy from Patient’s Contacts
  • 1. If currently in office visit, click End Update and Hold Document.

  • 2. Open Patient Registration section Image05.

  • 3. Go to the Contacts tab Image06.

  • 4. Select Pharmacy to remove from list.

  • 5. Click Remove button from top right hand corner. Image07.

  • 6. Click Yes to confirm removal.

Please make sure to only delete pharmacy that will no longer be used by patient.

Out of Office Assistant � Tip of the Week

You can setup an out of office assistant in EMR to remind staff that you are not going to be in clinic on a certain date.

From your EMR Desktop:

  • Go to Options
  • Click Out of Office Assistant…
  • Select am currently out of the office
  • Type auto-reply in textbox
  • Select when to send a response:

  • Click OK
Remember the out of office assistant is only available from Desktop

EMR Announcements

There are currently 3 EMR Announcements:
    • The Pain Management Clinic will be going live with EMR on January 15th.

    • The Internal Medicine Consult letter has been updated.

    • Please consult your billing department before associating a rule out diagnosis to a level service.

    • To request to file an EMR document in error please send an e-mail to elpasoemr@ttuhsc.edu. Please do not send alerts or flags for this type of request.

EMR Known Issues

There are currently 1 EMR Known Issues:
    • The Prescription Refills form was not displaying pharmacy names correctly. This issue has been fixed.
