New Process to Request for Document Removal

We now require all users to append the document they wish to be removed. We cannot remove the document until this has been completed. Please follow the instructions below:

• Click append and then click the button stating “Click here for a full update”

• Choose the encounter type named “Request for Removal” and click OK

• Fill in the reason for removal in this form and click close

• End the update and sign document

In your e-mail, please include the information below so that we may assist you:

Quick Texts � Tip of the Week

Some quick texts contain clinical functions that allow you to pull patient and user account(your EMR account) information into the chart.

The following quick texts contain a clinical function :

.dateInserts Today’s date
.fcOpens the insert form component window
.grInsert first name of patient
.hpioInserts beginning of HPI sentence – “This is a __ years old Male/Female”
.medInserts current list of medications into note
.pharmInserts current pharmacy

EMR Announcements

There is currently 1 EMR Announcements:
    • We’ve been working diligently to correct the issue of labs not showing in flow sheets. We are correcting different labs each week and this week we have corrected the following:
    • a. Spec Gr Urin, SSA, SSB, T3 Free, T4 Free, T4 Total, TB Quant, Testerone Total, Thyroid Microsomal Antibody, Thyroglobulin antibody, Thyroglobulin serum

      b. Please report any issues regarding these particular labs not crossing over from the report to your flowsheet.

    • To request to file an EMR document in error please send an e-mail to elpasoemr@ttuhsc.edu. Please do not send alerts or flags for this type of request.

EMR Known Issues

There are currently 2 EMR Known Issues:
    • Rotating residents do not have access to printers or computers in clinic.
      • Clinic must notify EMR department of any residents rotating through their clinic in order for them to be granted access.
    • Please report any lab values not showing in flowsheets after signing the lab report to the EMR, Labs proxy box in EMR.

As always we are working to resolve these issues in a timely fashion and will keep you updated on their status.
