Imprivata Patient Secure

The EMR Department is in the process of getting ready to implement Imprivata Patient Secure throughout the clinical front desks and Central Registration. Imprivata Patient Secure will improve patient safety and satisfaction by reducing duplicate accounts and identification errors. Imprivata Patient Secure uses palm vein recognition biometrics to assist the front desk staff in identifying the patient’s CBiz and EMR record accurately and efficiently.

Phase one go-live is scheduled for June 6th and 7th. The clinics included in phase one are: Central Registration, Surgery, Ophthalmology, GBCC, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Neurology and Transmountain practice.

Secure Messaging

Sending a Secure Message to patients is required by all providers as part of Meaningful Use. Patients are not required to be enrolled in Patient Portal at the time of sending the Secure Message. In the event a patient is not enrolled in Patient Portal the patient will be instructed to create an account to view the message. We encourage all providers to use the form as a method of contact with patients.
