Medication Management Refresher Trainings

The IMS team will be providing a refresher training on the Medication Management Module in AthenaFlow. The sessions are available the last Friday of the month from 12-1 and 1-2, both in-person and via WebEx. In-person sessions will be in the CBS building located at 5010 Gateway Blvd E.

The agenda for the refresher training is as follows:
  • Review of medication module
  • Prescribing a medication
  • Creating favorites
  • Updating favorites
  • Reviewing Active medications (Smart Sig translation and functions)
  • Accessing eRX history using “Show medication history”

Deceased Patients in AthenaFlow

Patients marked as Deceased in CBIZ become inactive in AthenaFlow. The patient banner will turn a red color identifying the patient is deceased followed by a Date of Death next to the Patient Name.

Searching for a Deceased Patient

Deceased patients will not show when searching for a patient in EMR unless the Search active patients only checkbox is removed. Remove this checkbox in order to locate the patient chart.

EMR Announcements

There is currently 1 EMR Announcement(s):
    • AthenaFlow 20.2 is now available which offers simultaneous chart access while using Medication Management. Previously, EMR users would be required to close Medication Management to access the patients chart and need to relaunch in order to continue prescribing. Medication Management can now be moved aside or minimized to return to the chart.

    • Please dial 215-4111 Option 3 for support.

    • To request to file an EMR document in error please send an e-mail to elpasoemr@ttuhsc.edu. Please remember the document must be signed and appended with the Request for Removal encounter type in order to be removed.
