Stephen W. Borron, MD, MS, FACEP, FAACT, FAAEM, FACMT
Dr. Borron is a West Texas native, serves as Acting Division Chief, Division of Medical Toxicoloy and Professor of Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology at the TTUHSC-Paul L. Foster School of Medicine. He is Medical Director of the West Texas Regional Poison Center at UMC of El Paso. He graduated from the Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology, the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston with a Doctor of Medicine degree and the University of Cincinnati with a Master of Science degree in Environmental Health. He has experience in emergency department care in Level I trauma centers, poison center services, toxicology intensive care unit, both clinical and laboratory research. Dr. Borron has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Borron is board certified in Emergency Medicine, Preventive Medicine (Occupational Medicine) and Medical Toxicology. He is Medical Editor-In-Chief of ToxED, one of three editors of Haddad & Winchester's Poisoning and Drug Overdose, 4th Edition. Dr. Borron is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
