THE CLINIC

Our Sports Medicine Clinic is located in Northeast El Paso and is open to athletes from all walks of life. Our facility boasts access to full radiology services from x-ray and ultrasound to CT and MRI in addition to a full rehabilitation center, all just down the hall from our examination rooms. It is here that a great deal of the core Sports Medicine learning happens. Supervised directly by the Sports Medicine faculty, the Fellow will have two to three Sports Medicine clinics a week and will encounter patients and athletes from all types of sports and in all levels of training. The fellow will also spend one-half day in the Family Medicine clinic to satisfy their primary care requirements.

Through these experiences the fellows will gather skills that will serve as the basis of their onsite and mass participation event management of athletes and their needs. In addition, since our faculty members are the race Medical Directors, the Fellows will learn about the importance of race planning and the impact of large mass participation events on the city infrastructure.
