The Division Gastroenterology is part of the Department of Internal Medicine, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) at El Paso Campus, Paul L. Foster School of Medicine (PLFSOM), and the University Medical Center (UMC) of El Paso. Our fellowship-trained, board certified physicians specialize in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, and pancreas (gastroenterology, hepatology, nutrition).

The Division of Gastroenterology participates in research that includes patient-oriented clinical trials, in the area of: hepatitis C, GI cancer treatment and prevention, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease, endoscopic ultrasound, pancreatic cystic neoplasms. //more
