Kayla Castaneda, RN, MSN, WHNP-BC
Kayla Castaneda is a Faculty Associate and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in the Department of OB/GYN at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center-El Paso. She received her Bachelor's and Master's of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Texas at El Paso. She was certified by the National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in 2008. Ms. Castaneda also completed additional training in cancer risk assessment through the City of Hope Division of Clinical Cancer Genetics' Intensive Course in Cancer risk Assessment in 2009. Her main focus is in the care of Gynecologic Oncology patients and their families, in addition to clinical teaching, and research. Her areas of interest include management of gynecologic malignancies, cancer risk assessment, and colposcopy.
