Texas Tech Resident Physicians Graduate
Fifty Texas Tech Health Sciences Center at El Paso physicians graduated from residency training in ten specialties Saturday, June 11, at the YISD Cultural Arts Center.
Fourteen graduates will stay in Texas, nine in El Paso, to practice medicine or complete additional training. Five of the nine will become faculty at Texas Tech in El Paso. Ten others will practice in southwest locations such as New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada and Utah. The others will fulfill military duties, or practice elsewhere in the nation.
The physicians have all undergone three to five years of training in either anesthesiology, emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopaedics, pediatrics, psychiatry, surgery and transitional year.
