Stephen W. Borron, M.D., MS, FACEP, FAACT, FAAEM, FACMT

Dr. Borron is a west Texas native, serves as division chief, Division of Medical Toxicology and professor of emergency medicine and medical toxicology at the TTUHSC El Paso Paul L. Foster School of Medicine. He is medical director of the West Texas Regional Poison Center at UMC of El Paso. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology, the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston with a Doctor of Medicine and the University of Cincinnati with a Master of Science in Environmental Health. He has experience in emergency department care in level I trauma centers, poison center services, toxicology intensive care unit, and in both clinical and laboratory research. Dr. Borron has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Borron is board certified in emergency medicine, preventive medicine (occupational medicine) and medical toxicology. He is medical editor-in-chief of ToxED, one of three editors of Haddad & Winchester's Poisoning and Drug Overdose, 4th Edition. Dr. Borron speaks English, French, and Spanish.
