Brian Nelson, M.D., M.S., FACEP
Dr. Nelson is a Texas native who specializes in emergency medicine and serves as a clinical professor with the Department of Emergency Medicine. He graduated from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston with a Doctor of Medicine, Trinity University with a Bachelor of Science in Biophysics and the University of Michigan School of Public Health with a Master of Science in Clinical Research Design and Statistical Analysis. He did his residency at John Hopkins Medical Institution, Baltimore with the Department of Emergency Medicine. He has various publications in the Annals of Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Academic Emergency Medicine, Journal of Emergency Medicine, The Breast Journal, American Journal of Emergency Medicine and has various book chapters and research abstracts. His areas of interest are emergency medicine, research design and analysis, residency administration, and medical education.
