In addition to the required prerequisites listed below, students receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from TTUHSC El Paso must satisfy the coursework requirements of the TTUHSC Core Curriculum (CC). For more information, click here.

*Course numbers listed are based on the Texas Common Course Numbering System (TCCNS). Check with your academic institution to verify the course number that corresponds with the TCCNS number.

+Statistics is required as a nursing prerequisite. Students who take math statistics will simultaneously meet the requirements for the nursing prerequisite and the core curriculum. Students, who take any other statistics course as the nursing prerequisite, must also take an upper level mathematics course in order to meet the core curriculum requirement.

Transfer Credit

Courses provided from other institutions with equivalent course content are acceptable for transfer credit if a "C" or better was earned. NOTE: Pass/Fail courses are not acceptable for transfer. Maximum credits allowed for CLEP or correspondence courses are 15 each.

If any of the prerequisites have been or will be CLEPPED, you will not receive credit towards the GPA we calculate. CLEP credit must be on an official college transcript for us to accept it.
