CEMR v9.12 Upgrade
The CIS Department will be upgrading Centricity EMR from version 9.8 to 9.12. The upgrade will include changes
to the EMR password, new features with Patient Education and a new Prescription Form. The upgrade will go live
on Monday June 18, 2018.
Centricity EMR Password Change
Your CEMR password will now be the SAME as your eRaider password. eRaider password change will sync with CEMR.
Patient Education
Patient Education and handouts can now be emailed to patients. Patient Education and handouts can still be printed.
Patients will need to have an email address recorded at registration for this new process to work. You will not be able
to add or modify email addresses in EMR, any changes to email addresses will need to be completed through CBIZ before
sending education. Click on the Envelope or Email button to generate a PDF file.
A PDF file will be generated and will be saved as a document within the patient’s chart. The education handout can be
viewed by opening the attachment under the documents tab. The education must then be attached to a Secure Message to
send to a patient.
New Prescriptions Form
The current prescription form used for refilling any existing medications, updating the pharmacy and signing the prescription
has been replaced with this upgrade.
Current Prescription Form:
New Prescription Form:
New to the Prescription form is the ability to see a list of the patient’s inactive medications, active problems, allergies,
last and upcoming appointment and eligibility status.
The refilling process has changed as you will have to select Renew next to the medication that will be refilled. The refill
button will only be available if a pharmacy is selected. The selected medication will move to the Update Prescriptions for
Renewal section. Next to the medication are 4 icons, a pencil to update the medication, a change back button that will remove
the medication in the event it was added in error and the green ref and blue buttons for patient education.
The pencil icon will allow for a modification to be made to the prescription. The edit prescription form allow for changes to
be made to the Quantity amount, Refill amount, Instructions, prescribing method, authorizing provider, notes to pharmacy, pharmacy
location and comments. Click save to update the medication.
Medication Discounts are now available both for printed and electronic prescriptions. If a medication discount is available, the
coupon will print separately when the prescription is printed or is sent electronically. The URL for the coupon will appear in
the note if reprinting is necessary.
