Medication Management Upgrade

On September 30, 2021, AthenaFlow will have a new Medication Management form which will incorporate a new structure sig when adding the medication instructions. Prescribing Providers will need to add instructions from the patient directions dropdowns. Quick Text is no longer available when adding prescription instructions.

Providers now have the ability to add medications to their Personal Favorites List for expedited selection. The Favorites List will have the medication name, dose and instructions for review during selection.

Procedure Form

The Office of Clinical Affairs has requested for a standardized Procedure Form to be used in AthenaFlow in Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Surgery. The Post Procedure form was implemented on September 2, 2021. We encourage all EMR users to document Procedures completed in the clinic on this new form.

EMR Announcements

There is currently 1 EMR Announcement(s):
    • The Clinical Application Support Team has relocated to Room B08 in the Basement of the Clinical Sciences Building.

    • Please dial 215-4111 Option 3 for support.

    • To request to file an EMR document in error please send an e-mail to elpasoemr@ttuhsc.edu. Please remember the document must be signed and appended with the Request for Removal encounter type in order to be removed.

EMR Known Issues

There are currently 1 EMR Known Issues:

    • Entering Chief Complaint on the HPI-CCC-2 form within the first tab (Specialty-Specific) does not store the value into an observation term and will not display on the body of the note.

      Temporary Workaround: Go to the second tab on the form (General HPI) and enter the Chief Complaint.
