Dear TTUHSC El Paso family:

We continue to actively monitor the travel restrictions imposed by the governor and the City of El Paso, which are regularly updated in response to the COVID-19 infection. In consideration of recent changes, we have updated our travel advisory as follows.

Any person traveling outside of Texas for personal or university-related reasons:

MUST report travel to the President’s Office at prior to departure, so that we can inform them if a 14-day isolation period is required when they return to El Paso.

These restrictions continue to apply to travel to Ciudad Juárez.

Any person placed on 14-day isolation because of recent travel or exposure to someone with known or suspected COVID-19 infection MUST notify the Office of Occupational Health at These individuals will receive daily calls to:

  1. Determine if they are properly self-isolating.
  2. Assess if they have symptoms and need further evaluation.
  3. Inquire about any needs.

Please remember the most important things you can do to prevent COVID-19 for yourself, your friends and family are:

  1. Cover your cough or sneeze.
  2. Don’t touch your face.
  3. Wash your hands often (20 seconds with soap and water).
  4. Wipe down surfaces.
  5. Social distancing (stay six feet away from others).

We’ve previously shown we’re El Paso Strong, now let’s show we’re El Paso Smart.
