Welcome to the registration site of the 9th Annual Pills and Thrills that Kill Conference to be held at TTUHSC El Paso Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, Medical Sciences Building II on April 6-7, 2022.

Overview and Target Audience

This program reviews new approaches to common toxicological problems, poisoning of high morbidity and mortality, and will point out changes in the general management of the poisoned patient. This educational activity is designed for physicians, mid-level providers, nurses and pharmacists working in emergency medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, critical care, and family medicine. It will particularly interest those preparing to take the Certification as a Specialist in Poison Information (CSPI) examination.

Provided by the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, University Medical Center of El Paso, the Southwest Center for Pediatric Environmental Health, and the West Texas Regional Poison Center.

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso reserves the right to cancel this conference or make speaker substitutions in the event of unforeseen or extenuating circumstances. In an effort to conserve resources no printed materials will be available. At the conference, you will receive a thumb drive with conference materials for your downloading or printing. Conference dress is casual and each attendee is encouraged to bring a sweater or jacket for comfort during the meeting. During the 9th Annual Pills & Thrills that Kill! Toxicology in Review course, we will exhibit posters dedicated to acute or chronic poisoning cases, research, and novel treatment methods. For more information, email toxicology.elp@ttuhsc.edu

The registration fee includes breakfast, snacks and lunch. Please notify us if you have any special dietary needs. All cancellations must be made in writing and received on or before March 31, 2022 - a $20.00 processing fee will be charged. Cancellations made after March 31st will be charged a $75 processing fee. Registration forms will be accepted at the door and you will be required to pay the “Conference Day” rate by credit card only.
