Referral Management System (RMS) 3.0

RMS has undergone visual and functionality changes which will provide clinic staff easier and faster access to referral information. Medical Assistants and Patient Services Specialists can now use eRaider Credentials to access the RMS system. Google Chrome browser is recommended for optimal use of the application.

RMS Homepage

The Color Abbreviation Table now includes Pending +4 and Scheduled +4 statuses in two colors both indicating that statuses have not been updated in four days providing easier grouping.

The Referral Overview section provides a total count of referrals for the selected clinic using the time frame entered on the search options. The menu bar provides a count by month for faster identification of outgoing and incoming referrals.

Referrals include a new Diagnosis and Instructions column that provide information on the RMS Homepage without opening the referral.

Hover the mouse over the diagnosis or instructions icon to view the details for the referral.

Entering Incoming External Referrals

Incoming external referrals can be manually entered into RMS by users. Select Incoming Ext Referrals on the tool bar.

Search for the patient by Date of Birth and select from the available list.

Enter the Consult type, Diagnosis and Instructions on the new referral. Create the referral by selecting Generate Referral.

Zero Clients- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)

The EMR Department in conjunction with the IT Networking Team is currently working on upgrading the Zero Client environment used in the clinics. As a reminder, always log into EMR using the EMRZero icon on all Zero Clients. EMRSSO should only be used on desktop computers through the Citrix logon. Logging in correctly will connect the appropriate printers and will avoid any printing issues.
