Application Process

The application process for fellowships beginning Aug. 1, 2022 has re-opened. There are two Surgical Critical Care fellow positions available. J-1 visa's will not be accepted. Candidate must have completed a five-year General Surgery Residency and must apply through the SAFAS website.

For the 2022 match, applicants must use the Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery Fellowship Application Service (SAFAS) website, managed by the Surgical Critical Care Program Directors Society.

Based on an initial screening, candidates are invited for one day to meet faculty and other key personnel. Inquiries should be directed to Amanda Beltran.

The NRMP Match Program

The 2022 Match Season (fellows matriculating Aug. 1, 2022) officially begins in June 2021 with interview of prospective applicants to our program occurring July and August (Tuesdays). Scheduling of interviews will begin in mid to late May. Rank order lists, registration and match date information can found at the National Resident Match Program (NRMP).
