Welcome to the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS) at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso (TTUHSC El Paso).
The GSBS provides a wealth of opportunities for students to develop their interests along with a strong base of knowledge and experience to pursue successful careers in biomedical research and education.
The Master of Science (M.S.) in Biomedical Sciences is a two-year program structured around a core curriculum in biomedical sciences with opportunities for elective courses and research experiences in a broad range of laboratories. Our scientists are studiously exploring the dynamics of many different health issues, including cancer cell biology, HIV, influenza, and neurodegenerative diseases.
The work of a biomedical scientist includes a variety of research, from finding cures for cancer or HIV to discovering new uses for drugs. Additionally, the growing, wide-ranging field of biomedical science encourages ever-changing career opportunities for an M.S. graduate.
We look forward to supporting your creativity in the advancement of new knowledge to address complex health issues.
